Nels Beckman Sorensen

Nels B. Sorensen, a longtime Petaluma chicken rancher and a pioneer in the egg production business, died June 30, 2013 at his home in Penngrove. He was 80. Nels is survived by his wife, Pearl Sorensen; daughter Kristen Sorensen and daughter-in-law Nicole Zimmerman; son Leif Sorensen and daughter-in-law Lynn Shutters. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Nels's life at the home of Pearl Sorensen at 2 p.m. Saturday.
