Nina Klemenok Schwartz - Passed away at home in Petaluma, CA, June 17, 2011. She was the daughter of Melania and Paul Klemenok of Petaluma. Nina received her R.N. from Mt. Zion Hospital in San Francisco in 1942. She joined the US Navy in World War II and was a Navy Nurse (Lt. jg.) stationed at the first Navy Fleet Hospital constructed on Guam. She married the late John L. Schwartz, ( Col., USMC, retired) in 1946. They were married for 64 years. She remained a Registered Nurse in the State of California until retirement.

Loving mother of Jacqueline Robertson of Petaluma, Carolyn Troiano of Herndon, VA, Walter Schwartz of Fox Island, WA and the late Marilyn Larson of Mercersburg, PA. Also survived by her sons-in-law, Raymond Larson of Mercersburg, PA, and Michael Troiano of Herndon, VA and daughter-in-law Margot Eigen of Fox Island, WA. Cherished grandmother of Christopher, Benjamin and Gregory Larson; Jason, Nicholas and Marissa Troiano. Dear sister of Paul Klemenok of Petaluma, Michael Klemenok of Paradise, Victor Klemenok of Washington, MO, Lillian Dalton of Priest River, ID and the late, Vera Russell, Peter Klemenok, John Klemenok, Olga Stewart, Walter Klemenok and Fred Klemenok. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She and the Colonel were lovingly cared for by Addy Birungi for the last 5 years.
