Norma Jeanette Wenger

April 30, 1921 — March 14, 2015

NORMA WENGER passed away peacefully at the home of her granddaughter in Petaluma on March 14, 2015. She was born April 30, 1921 in Denver, Colorado, and adored her beloved mother Emmlyn Scholtz and her younger brother Parker Abbott, both of whom preceded her death. The family lived in Larkspur where Norma attended Mt Tamalpais high school, then received a scholarship to a prestigious beauty school in San Francisco. She was a beautician for many years. Norma raised two daughters, Sharon (Nelson) Noah and Diane (Wenger) Hageman. Norma met the love of her life, Leland Little, and they lived happily, enjoying weekend getaways to the coast, gardening, along with dinner and movie dates, until he preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter Sharon Noah, granddaughters Cheryl Reece and Valerie Dickinson, grandsons Colby, Logan, and Donavan Reece, grandsons Brandon and Daniel Hogdahl, and grandson-in-law Mark Reece. She is also survived by many relatives and friends. Norma was a kind, gentle person who loved animals; adopting, raising and caring for many cats over the years, feeding birds, and neighborhood animals. She was a very sociable person who could talk to anyone and make them feel loved and special. She truly will be missed by all of us who have known and loved her. You are invited to a graveside service to honor and celebrate Norma's life on Saturday, March 21st at 10:00 am at Santa Rosa Memorial Park Cemetery< http://srmp.org/ >. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Petaluma ( https://www.stjoesonoma.org/For-Community/Donate-Online.aspx ). Family assisted by PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, Petaluma.
