Odessa Lynn Velladao

Odessa Lynn Velladao died peacefully on January 10, 2016 after a 6 year battle with cancer, at her home in Petaluma surrounded by loving family. Lynn was born February 17, 1955, in Dallas Texas, the daughter of Kathryn Steen and Everett Steen. Lynn was an avid exercise enthusiast, and loved to make her family and friends smile with her awesome dance moves she learned in her beloved dance party fitness classes at Petaluma Valley Athletic Club. Lynn appreciated the finer things in life, as seen by her sporty cars and stylish outfits, and would smile from ear to ear when a cashier would ask her for her I.D. at the age of 60. Lynn taught her children to love and praise God, and her faith stayed strong until the very end. She is survived by five beautiful children, and her husband, Tom Velladao, who will love her always. Lynn was a queen and fighter, and will be missed dearly by all. We want to let her know that she was a phenomenal wife, mother, and friend, who touched the lives of so many, and we wish her a safe journey to the other side. We invite you to join us and celebrate Lynn's legacy together. ARRANGEMENTS: Visitation will be held Thursday, January 14th from 11:00am to 8:00pm at PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, Petaluma. Funeral Mass will be held Friday, January 15TH at 10:30am at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Petaluma, immediately followed by her burial at Calvary Catholic Cemetary at 12:00 PM in Petaluma. There will also be a celebration of Lynn's life immediately following her burial at Petaluma Valley Athletic Club.
