Owen Richard Merritt - Passed away at home in Petaluma, CA., November 12, 2008, beloved husband of Barbara J. Merritt. Loving father of Gerald Owen Merritt of Isleton, Sharon Anne Merritt of Petaluma, Carla Merritt-McNamara of The Woodlands, TX and the late Teri Maudine Skinner. Cherished grandfather of Ian Merritt, Sean McNamara, Trevor McNamara, Meredith Skinner and Tom Skinner. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. A native of San Francisco, CA. Age 91 years. Mr. Merritt was the West Coast distributor for Zimmer-Merritt Orthopedics until his retirement. He was a proud member of the Marin Camp of the Sonoma County Trailblazers. At the request of Mr. Merritt, there will be no services. The family prefers memorials be made to Hospice of Petaluma or to the Sonoma County Humane Society.
