Paul Maselli peacefully went to glory on November 18,2023 with family by his side. Born September 22,1930 in Sonoma, California. A graduate of Galileo High School of San Francisco. He met his wife, Virginia Burney, in 1953 while stationed in Fort Bragg, North Carolina Army Base. He served 2 years from 1952-1954 and finished as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army. On November 8,1954 in Reno, Nevada he married Virginia Burney, and later renewed their vows at St. Vincent Catholic Church in Petaluma. He was president and founder of M. Maselli & Sons, Inc. Hardware started in 1960 and was active in business until the age of 89. He was active in the community as a longtime member of the Druids, Rotary, Elks, Native Sons of Sonoma and the Sonoma County Farm Bureau. Paul loved deer and pheasant hunting and was an owner-member of the Lone Tree Gun Club. He played and loved baseball and coached his two surviving sons, Mike and Jim from Little League Baseball through the city leagues until the ages of 18.
Paul leaves behind his loving sons, Michael Maselli and James Maselli, daughter-in-law Pam Maselli. Granddaughters, Sara, Alissa, Michaela. Grandsons Paul, Josiah, Luke, Benjamin, Peter and Jonathan Maselli. As well as many great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 52 years, Virginia Maselli. Parents, Michael and Lena Maselli. Sisters, Josephine Pucci and Mary Maselli. Brothers Jimmy and Peter Maffia. And daughter-in-law, Robin Maselli. First and foremost, Paul's passion in life was for his family and second to that was his business of 63 years.
A memorial service will be held in Paul's honor on Friday, November 24 at 1:00 pm at Parent-Sorensen Funeral Home located at 850 Keokuk St. Petaluma. Donations in Paul's honor may be made to Hospice of Petaluma or Petaluma High School Athletic Boosters Club. Paul will always be remembered by family and friends as an unconditional giver.
