Pauline Lourie Shawler

Pauline Shawler passed away after a long illness on March 21, 2014; she was 92. Pauline was born on June 04, 1921 in rural Iowa where she was raised and educated. She became a school teacher and married Robert Shawler, an old school friend, shortly after World War II. They moved to Petaluma in 1948 where Pauline taught school until her retirement. Pauline was preceded in death by Robert, her husband of 56 years, in 2003. She is survived by her children Sally and Steven. At Pauline’s request, there will be no services. Donations may be made to Hospice of Petaluma.
