Pearl Evelyn Acquistapace

Pearl Evelyn Acquistapace - Passed away suddenly at Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, August 24, 2010. She was born October 29, 1915 in Point Arena, CA. She was the third of seven children. She has one sister, Ethel Babcock, still living. Her parents moved to Albion, CA on the Coast of Mendocino County, where she attended school. She remembered the terrible Depression years, which were hard on her family. She graduated from the 8th grade in a one room school house, which she was the only one in 8th grade. The teacher taught all through, grades 1to 8. In 1932, she came to Santa Rosa to attend high school, where she worked for her room and board. She graduated in 1936. She and Chester were happily married for 52 years until his passing on June 9, 1991. Pearl is survived by her son Roger and his wife Nataly, grandsons Ilya and Max, and many nephews, nieces, and friends.
