Peter R. Poiani - Passed away on August 29, 2012, loving husband for 61 years of Isabell Poiani. Beloved father of Peter and Debbi Poiani, Pamela and Vincent Glaviano, Lauriann and Jerry Lucchesi, Julie and Jim Parnow, Mary Angela and Ryan Parker. Adored grandfather of 12 and great grandfather of 12. Preceded in death by his siblings, Louis Zanardi, Oliva Poiani, Vetalina Giacomini and Lena Cheda. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma. Family and friends are invited to attend the Vigil Service, Tuesday evening at 7:00 pm at St. James Catholic Church, 125 Sonoma Mountain Parkway, Petaluma. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012 at 11:00 am at St. James Catholic Church. Private inurnment: Calvary Catholic Cemetery. The family prefer memorials be made to St. Judeâ??s Childrenâ??s Hospital, Alzheimerâ??s research, or MS research. A native of Tomales, CA. Age 84 years.
