Peter Michael Riedell

Passed away at his daughter's house in Antelope, CA on February 28, 2013 at the age of 76 years. Devoted husband of the late Aileen Riedell who passed away 4 years ago. Loving father of Alan Riedell of Petaluma, Susan (Robert) Sabia of Windsor and Pam (Rob) Bernardo of Antelope, CA, and caring grandfather of Jonathan, Matthew, and Robbie Sabia, Christopher and Emily Bernardo. Dear brother of twenty siblings. Marie Freese, Francis Riedell, Bob Riedell (deceased), John Riedell, Margaret Klus, Joe Riedell, Kathryn Van Erdewyk, Delores Duncan, Paul Riedell, Jerry Riedell (deceased), Yvonne Clausen, Tom Riedell, Mike Riedell, Phil Riedell, Richard Riedell and five siblings who did not make it past infancy. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. There was never a person that Pete didn't like. He was a friend to all. Pete loved helping people; repairing things, laying tile, installing new appliances, working with wood and anything that needed fixing. He was a master gardener who loved to give his produce away to others. He was cherished by many and was fondly known as dad or papa. He was "Mr. Fix-it"! A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Petaluma Valley Baptist Church, 580 Sonoma Mountain Parkway, Petaluma. Burial at Cypress Hill Memorial Park, Petaluma. Memorial contributions may be made to Sutter Care at Home and Hospice in his memory.
