Phyllis Marie Long

LONG, PHYLLIS MARIE - Entered into rest peacefully on February 10, 2014 in Santa Rosa, CA, just before her 86th Birthday. Born Phyllis Marie Hamill on February 27, 1928 in Sioux City, IA, she was the only daughter of Norbert and Loretta Hamill. She reunites with her two sons; David and Timothy. Phyllis is survived by her precious and devoted husband of sixty-four years, Len. She leaves behind wonderful memories to her daughter; Kris (Mark) Mendoza and her son; Vince (Karen) Long, as well as to her loving grandchildren; Aaron, Anthony, Angela, Ashley, Dawn and Amy. Also survived by eight great grandchildren; Alithia, Bethany, Trinity, Maya, Andie, Alex, Chase and Gabriella, as well as two great-great grandchildren; Jordan and Hailey, all "Great Joy's Of Her Life". Phyllis devoted her life to others. She spent many years as a Day Care Provider, enjoyed membership in the Good Sam Club, the Y.L.I., the American Legion and distributed food for St. Vincent de Paul, as well as worked for the Santa Rosa City Schools for over twenty years. A private Family Funeral Mass has been held at St. Rose Catholic Church (398-10th Street, Santa Rosa, CA, 95401). Private inurnment; Calvary Catholic Cemetery-Oak Tree Lawn (2930 Bennett Valley Road, Santa Rosa, CA, 95404).
