Phyllis Elaine Wines Deen - Wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Phyllis Deen died peacefully in the afternoon of October 4, 2008 at Terra Linda, California. She was 88. She leaves behind her children, Kathy (Bill) Clark of North Platte, NE, Kay (Dennis) Pueppka of Manchester, MO, Dennis (Charlene) Deen of Petaluma, CA and Deb Trott of Cheyenne, WY. Debâ??s husband, Mike, preceded Phyllis in death. She also leaves behind 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. All family members will miss her greatly. At Phyllisâ?? request, no services will be held in California. Her ashes will be transported to Tennessee at a later date for burial next to Frank in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery near their former home in Beech Bluff. Her late husband, Frank, worked as a conductor for the Union Pacific Railroad. Phyllis was primarily a homemaker and devoted mother to four children, but she also worked as a meter maid, records clerk and secretary in the North Platte, Nebraska police department. Upon Frankâ??s retirement in 1975, they moved to Tennessee. She moved to Petaluma, California in 2002 upon her husbandâ??s death.
