Raphael Hubert Brisbois

BRISBOIS, RAPHAEL H. - Passed away from Cancer on August 22, 2013, at the age of 62, his loving wife Sylvie at his side. He is survived by his two sons; Ludovic and Benoit and his two grandchildren; Sebastian and Sophia. Raphael, a native of France, was an accomplished, well known, and much respected wine maker, whose craft spanned four contients. His extensive education included a Master's in Viticulture and Enology from ‘Ecole Nationale Superieure d'Agronomie. In 1987, Raphael moved to the United States with his family to pursue wine making in Sonoma County. Recently, Raphael served as Director of Winemaking at Rack and Riddle, where he worked up to one week before his death. He will forever be loved and missed by not only his family and friends, but also by those whose lives he's touched throughout these years. At his request, family and friends are invited to attend a small, informal Graveside Service in his honor on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at the Santa Rosa Memorial Park (1900 Franklin Avenue, Santa Rosa, CA, 95405). Private interment. As an expression of sympathy, the family prefers that Memorial Contributions be made in his memory to the charity of your choice.
