Raymond Pietro Pellinacci, a San Francisco native and resident of Rohnert Park, died October 23, 2025, at the age of 96 and is now resting peacefully. He has gone home to God and to Celia, his beloved wife of 52 years. He died in the caring embrace of his family in his beloved home, with the love and support of his children and two amazing caregivers. Ray grew up in the Potrero Hill district of San Francisco and graduated from Mission High School. He was active in Drama Club, played the trumpet and was on and off the football field, sometimes as a player and often as a Yell Leader. In his older years he could passionately recite the cheers and chants of his high school team, much to the enjoyment of his kids and grandkids. He and his family spent many happy summers at their Russian River cabin alongside cousins and friends. Ray was a fan of the San Francisco 49ers and had a special affinity for the Oakland A’s. He enjoyed golfing, gardening, a nightly highball, and listening to Frank Sinatra or the Rat Pack--usually in that order. Ray had a very successful career in the grocery sales business relocating to Rohnert Park from Pacifica when the North Bay sales territory opened up. He loved attending St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cotati, was a member of its Mens' Club and in 1992 co-founded its annual golf tournament. He will be sorely missed by all.
Ray is survived by his brother, Larry (Janet), his children, Denise Weber, Debra Pellinacci (Bill), Lisa Holmberg (Dennis) and Michael Pellinacci (Dawn). He is also survived by six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren with another one joining the family any day, and one great-great grandchild.
A funeral mass will be held Wednesday, October 29, at 10:30 a.m. St. Joseph Catholic Church, 150 St. Joseph Way, Cotati, CA, followed by a reception and burial at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Santa Rosa, CA.
