Raymond J. Polasky - Ray Polasky passed away in Petaluma on Dec. 26, 2007. Loving husband of the late Dorothy Purnell Polasky. Devoted father of Paul (Janet) Polasky, Ray (Hildegarde) Polasky, Theresa (Richard) Horrigan, and Stephanie (Gary ) Loux. Dedicated grandfather of Brian (Melanie Graff) Simmons, Evan (Sarah Anne) Polasky, Sarah Nicole Polasky, Heather (Rex) Nance, Ethan (Sophia) Polasky, Justin Polasky, Jennifer (William) Shipman, Nathan Loux, and Jeramy (Erica) Loux. Survived by his great grandchildren Atticus and Quinn Simmons, Ryan Nance, Julia Polasky, Raven and Eian Polasky, and Avery and Parker Loux. Dear brother of Dorothy, and the late Ted, Syl, Harry, Edmund, Isabelle, Monica, and Florence.
Friends and family are invited to a Funeral Mass on Friday, Dec. 28, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at St. James Catholic Church, 125 Sonoma Mountain Parkway, Petaluma, CA. Inurnment will be at Cypress Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mission Helpers of the Sacred Heart, 1001 W. Joppa Rd., Baltimore MD, 21204-3787 or Hospice of Petaluma, 416 Payran St., Petaluma, CA 94952-5907. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Mary and William Polasky on July 20, 1915. Ray joined the US Army at the age of 21. His first tour of duty was to Hawaii. He saw military service in WW II and Korea. He was stationed at the Presidio in San Francisco, in Munich, Germany, and his last posting was to Fort Huachuca, AZ. Ray and Dorothy lived in Arizona until 1991 when they moved to Petaluma, CA. Since Dorothy's death in 1997, Ray has lived in Rohnert Park, CA.
