Rebecca "Becky" Cherrie Kaasch passed away peacefully in her home May 19, surrounded by her loving family. Born and raised in Graton, California to parents Ralph and Rosemary Shields, she never moved more than a mile away from her childhood home raising her children in the same community she grew up in. Becky worked for Hewlett Packard as a Mechanical Inspector for over 18 years before retiring. Her love for her family and Elvis Presley was made known to all who walked by her tiny home of love in Graton. Becky's world revolved around her 10 grandchildren, who never passed an opportunity to stop by Grandma's house to visit and help themselves to the abundance of goodies she kept to keep their bellies full. She will never be forgotten and will be tremendously missed by all who knew her.
Preceded in death by her best friend and sister, Karen Lambert. Survived by her loving partner of 25 years Roy Meyers. Her children: Cynthia Morfin, Irving (Elizabeth) Kaasch and Veronica (Kenneth) Prosser. Her grandchildren: Dominic Morfin, Nicole Garai, Juliana Posada, Karlie/Kailie/Kyle/Klayton Kaasch, Anthony/Aleyah Banuelos and Vincent Prosser. Her great-granddaughter: Lillian Watson. Her soon to be born great-grandchildren: Weston Lewis and Madelyn Watson. Last but not least, her beloved "grand-doggers": Riley Prosser, Hank/Ellie/Scooter Kaasch and Mayzie Lewis. A graveside service will be held May 25, 2017 at Gilliam Cemetery in Graton at 11:00 AM. The family extends gratitude to Memorial Hospice for their support. Donations in Rebecca's memory may be made to Memorial Hospice.
