On July 31, 2018, the world stopped turning for our beloved Frenchy Revel. Born in November 1928, where he was raised and educated in Healdsburg, CA with his loving parents, Rene Sr and Pride Revel and sisters Alyce (Goff/Rush) and Doreen (Brooks). As a Healdsburg High School graduate, class of 1946, he enlisted in the Army, serving as a member of the 970th Counter Intelligence Corp in Germany until 1948. Upon his return home, he received his associates degree in business at the Santa Rosa Junior College in 1952. At this time, he went to work for Bank of America in Healdsburg, where in 1956 he transitioned to Santa Rosa to join the District Operations staff, traveling between Sausalito to Crescent City and into Lake County for six years. He retired from Bank of America in Petaluma in 1992, after thirty years working as a loan officer. Frenchy was married to his late wife, Beverly, for 35 years. They had no children, but Frenchy enjoyed his roll as uncle to Rick Goff (dc’d)( Margie Goff), Jackie Goff, Jason Goff and Chad Goff (Kim Collins). He was great uncle to Payton, Tabitha and John Goff. He lovingly leaves behind his sister Alyce and her husband, Les Rush and God daughter Jan Nelson. In addition, he leaves his sister Doreen and niece and nephew Debbie (Goodman) and Chuck Brooks. A retired Frenchy could be found on many a golf course, near and far, sharpening his skills and sparring with his many friends. He enjoyed his days as a marshal at Rooster Run Golf Course in Petaluma, where he met his lovely lady and life companion, Darlene Manzano. He and Darlene became intimate friends along with her daughter Stacy (Tom Lambertz) and granddaughter Alicia Lambertz, as his devoted adopted family. He wishes a fond farewell to his many family and friends, whether on the golf links or to those at his favorite “watering hole”, the Aquarium in Petaluma. Thank you for the many years of support and friendship, for stories shared, a bet here and there, fishing stories that grew and grew and Dennis for your wonderful lunches. He spoke of you all with a smile and a chuckle and a warm heart. Per his request, there will not be a funeral service held. A Celebration of Life and reception will be held on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 4:00 pm at he Aquarium, 1030 Petaluma Blvd., N., Petaluma.
