Richard (Rich) Allen Sharp, 68 of Petaluma, California passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family, on August 5, 2016.
Rich was born May 29, 1948 in Novato, CA to Russell and Iona (Baker) Sharp. Rich was a passionate and dedicated husband, father, grandfather (Papa) and friend to all. He was a self-employed General Contractor in Marin County for 40+ years until he was forced to retire due to his battle with Pancreatic Cancer. Rich was an Eagle Scout and had a passion for classic cars. He was an avid SF Giants Fan. He loved camping in his RV, Dirt Bike riding, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. Most recently, he especially enjoyed his evenings at his neighbor's creekside property named "Cotati Dick's Beach." His sense of humor and generosity were like a magnet and pulled everyone in around him. He was admired for his grace and wisdom.
Rich is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn of 42 years, son Duane Sharp, daughter Tammy Sharp, grandson Andrew, twin granddaughters Danielle and Delaney, as well as many nieces, nephews and other relatives and close friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 3:00 - 200 Stowring Road, Petaluma.
