Richard H. Baxman

Richard H. "Shorty" Baxman - Passed away Sunday, March 9, 2008 in Petaluma at the age of 84 years. He was the beloved husband of Rosaline Baxman of Petaluma. Loving father of Donald Baxman and Ronald Baxman both of Petaluma. Cherished grandfather of Tom Baxman, John Baxman, Kelly Baxman and Cindy Hunter. Adored great grandfather of Matthew Baxman and Brooke Baxman. Loving brother of Betty Gehrke of Sebastopol, Barbara Petersen of Santa Rosa, Catherine Batten of Bonanza, OR, Eleanor Menne of Hidden Valley and Raymond Baxman of Cloverdale. Richard was preceded in death by his parents Ethel and James Baxman; grandchild, Amy Kate Baxman, sister, Helen Winkler and brothers, Norman Baxman and Bob Baxman. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Born in Pueblo, CO, Shorty moved to Sonoma County with his family in 1923. Shorty was a longtime member of the Petaluma Lodge #901 B.P.O.E. and the Cattlemanâ??s Association. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the nurses and staff of the ICU of Petaluma Valley Hospital for their wonderful care.
