Passed away December 25, 2013 in Santa Rosa,CA, beloved husband of the late Joyce L. Cook. Loving father of Kimberly and Ted Williams of Petaluma, Juanita Dennett of Rohnert Park, Lori and Victor Crusselle of Cloverdale and Heidi and Steven Martinez of Windsor. Cherished grandfather of James, Joe, Merissa, Hollie, Justin, Jennifer, Brittany, Robert, Jessica, Richard, Jeremy, Jake, Zachary, Michelle, Hugo, and the late Adam.
Adored great grandfather of Chloe, Andrew, Lindsay, Mason, Jordan, Kaleb, Madeline, Sophia, Audra, Inara, Elian, and Ailey. Dear brother of Barbara Wiggins of GA and Kenneth Cook of OR. Also survived by several nieces and nephews and his cherished dogs, Misty and Max.
A native of Santa Rosa, CA. Age 79 years.
Richard, a bus driver for over thirty years, began his career with Greyhound Bus Lines and was one of the original drivers for Golden Gate Transit, until his retirement. He was an avid fan of the 49'ers, Giants, and enjoyed fishing, abalone diving, camping, gardening and most of all, his family. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Windsor, St. Vincent de Paul Society and a former member of the Knights of Columbus.
Visitation will be held, Monday, December 30, 2013 from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm at LAFFERTY & SMITH COLONIAL CHAPEL, 4321 Sonoma Highway, Santa Rosa, with the Vigil Service held at 6:00 pm. Family and friends are also invited to the Funeral Mass, Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 11:00 am at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 35 Liberty St., Petaluma, CA. Private interment, Santa Rosa Memorial Park. The family prefer memorials be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
