Richard R. "Dick" Shone

RICHARD R. "DICK" SHONE passed away in Petaluma, CA, June 2, 2015 at the age of 80. He was the husband of Virginia Balzer Shone, whom he married in April 2007 and was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Jacquelyn Garloff Shone. Loving father of Doug, Rick (Judy), Renee (Jim) and Mark (Kathleen). Cherished grandfather of Hilary Shone, Kayleigh Hart, Matthew Hart, Emily Hart, Kyle Shone and Megan Shone. Dear brother of Kathleen Christian (Tom). Son of the late Robert Austin Shone and Claire Corine Snow Shone. Also survived by two nieces and a cousin. A native of Sebastopol, Ca. Dick graduated from Analy High School in 1953. He was a truck driver for over 35 years, working in the poultry industry. He was an avid 49'er fan, enjoyed old tractors, antique tools and most of all he loved to reminisce with family and friends. He was a real people person. Dick was also an active member of the Petaluma Kiwanis Club. Family and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service, Monday, June 15, 2015 at 11:00 am at St. John's Lutheran Church, 455 McNear Ave., Petaluma, CA.
