Richard A. Stout

RICHARD STOUT passed away peacefully on April 12, 2016 with his wife of 52 years at his side. His battle with cancer finally ended. He was born Jan. 24, 1942 in Port Townsend , WA to Ralph Stout and Joan Edmisten Stout. He moved to Petaluma in 1953 attending Petaluma High School and graduating from SF State University in 1966 after marrying LaVerne Moreda in 1963. They were blessed with 3 children Abby Alejos(Martin), Amy Courville, and Gordon Stout (Janette). Beloved grandfather of Ashley and Tyler Courville, Cade and Carly Alejos and Kendall and Dalton Stout. He was predeceased by his parents and Sally Jo Boswell and is survived by his sister Donna Stout of Santa Rosa. His career included employment with Shell Oil, owning several gas stations and working many years as a painter and handyman. Rich centered his life around family, friends and hunting trips. He always started his day at Mr. Mom's with the 6:00 am coffee group. Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Service, Sunday, April 17th at 12:00 pm at Parent-Sorensen Mortuary & Crematory, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma.
