Robert Charles Antill, age 69, of Sebastopol, California, passed away on February 8th, 2025 after a year long battle with metastasized lung cancer. Rob was born on December 15, 1955 to Trevor Charles Antill and Ann Marie Barilla in Geneva, Illinois. Rob and his family moved to Sebastopol in 1976 where they settled into a happy home among the apple trees and blackberry thickets. Rob went on to raise his own family in the beloved family home. Rob's professional life was spent as a machinist for local wineries. He spent many years working on bottling lines for Korbel, Sonoma Wine Company, and General Hydroponics. Rob's greatest interest was tinkering. His children fondly remember him spending a summer building them a go-kart and his grandchildren will forever cherish their spinning tops welded from nuts and bolts. A passionate gardener, Rob took great pride in his yearly sunflowers, cut flower garden, and vegetable garden. He also loved to fish and shared the hobby with his kids and grandson over the years. Rob's greatest joy was being a father to his two children and grandfather to his two grandchildren who loved him dearly. Rob was predeceased by his mother, Ann Marie Barilla, and his father, Trevor Charles Antill. He is survived by his children, Jessica Mae Allison and Ross Charles Antill; his two grand children, Cooper Charles and Lenna; his brother, Trevor Antill; his sister, Elizabeth Antill Ruano; and Carol Hax Antill, whom he married in 2010. Services will be held Tuesday, March 4th at 11:00 a.m. at Parent Sorensen, 301 S. Main Street in Sebastopol. A celebration of life will immediately follow at Holy Ghost Hall in Sebastopol.
