Robert F. "Bob" Mattei

Robert F. "Bob" Mattei passed away on February 13, 2019 in Santa Rosa at the age of 79 years.  Dear husband of Kay Mattei of Santa Rosa.  Cherished father of Scott Mattei (Karen) and Jody Mattei (Ken).  Adored grandfather of Haley, Makenna, and Paige.  Devoted son of the late Audrey and Frederick Mattei.  Loving brother of Ellen Sullivan (Paul) and Jim Mattei (Julia).  Survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Bob was born, reared and educated in Petaluma.  He graduated from St. Vincent de Paul High School in 1957 and later served in the US Army Reserves.  Working alongside his father for many years, Bob operated Mattei Bros. Clothing Store for 45 years.  After retirement, he enjoyed traveling and especially loved fly fishing.  He was a true creator and loved working with his hands.  With vision and skill, he masterfully built and remodeled several homes over the course of his life.  Above all, Bob loved his family.  He was a wonderful man and will be greatly missed.

Friends and family are invited to attend the Memorial Liturgy, Monday, March 4, 2019 at 11:00 am at the PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma.  Memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity.  Private Inurnment.
