ROBERT "BOB" LOUIS BUNCE, passed away on August 10th, 2018, at the age of 59 years.
Bob was born August 30, 1958 to Gerald and Agnes (Glasmeier) Bunce in Hamilton, Ohio before moving to Olema, California at three years of age.
Bob attended West Marin grade school and Tomales High School where he was the kicker for the football team from 1973-1977. Bob also spent time working at his parent’s restaurant, Jerry’s Farmhouse, alongside his siblings, until it sold in 1990.
In 1978, Bob started working for Tamalpais Community Service District (TCSD) as a Refuse collector. Throughout the course of his career, Bob worked his way up to the Waste-water and Facilities Superintendent and after 40 years at TCSD retired in 2018.
Bob is survived by his wife of 27 years, Kimberly (Nelson) Bunce, his brother David (Shari), sister Annette (Donald) Ransom, his daughters Cynthia (Scott), Amy (Shawn) Seader, and Rachelle (Michael) Entwistle, his son Timothy (Mariana), six grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and his beloved dog Jack the “Jack Russell Terrorist”.
Bob enjoyed fishing, traveling to Hawaii, watching the 49ers from his favorite recliner, and tending to his vegetable garden. Bob loved to throw parties in his backyard with Kim, Hosting a Bar-B-Q of chicken and oysters.
He thoroughly enjoyed the little town of Olema where he spent his life. He will be greatly missed by many and forever remembered.
A Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held at 1:00 PM-4:00 PM, on August 25th at the Bunce Residence. Hawaiian or cowboy attire encouraged. Burial will be held privately at a later date.
