Robert Cavender

Robert "Bob" Cavender - Robert R. "Bob""" Cavender, a resident of the Clearlake Riviera since 1980 passed away at a Lakeport Hospital on Friday, August 31, 2007 after a short illness. He is 86 years of age. Mr. Cavender was born in Oakland, CA. He and his family moved to Baltimore, MD., where he attended schools in the elementary grade level. He returned to California to San Francisco, attending and graduating from St. Ignatius High School. He then entered the U.S. Navy serving his country during W.W. II. After his military service he attended and graduated from Stanford University and received his Masters Degree from Stanford. He then entered the field of education teaching junior high school level for 7 years and then he went into Administration being a principal for over 23 years of Terman Junior High School and Wilbur Junior High in Palo Alto. He retired in 1979 moving to Clearlake Riviera in 1980. "" Family and friends are invited to an open house and a celebration of Bob's life on Saturday, September 15, 2007 from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M at the family home. Those who prefer may contribute to your favorite charity in memory of Robert R. Cavender. Bob served on the Board of the Directors for Clearlake Riviera Yacht & Golf Club; he also served on the Mt Konocti Water Company Board.
