Robert And Helen Spagnola

Robert “Spag” Spagnola October 14, 1927 – February 3, 2016 Helen “Tippie” Spagnola September 1, 1930 – February 14, 2016 “Spag” and “Tippie’s” love story started in 1948.  Becoming high school sweethearts at Petaluma High School, they married May 22, 1949 at St. Vincent’s Church in Petaluma.  They lived in Petaluma and had three children.  Spag began his Bank of America career in 1950 and was transferred to Ukiah in 1955, where they had two more children.  Being in Ukiah for 20 years, they were heavily involved in the community and church.  In 1975, they returned back home to Petaluma where they continued to be involved in their family, community and church. Their journey ended after 66 years when Dad passed on February 3, 2016, only to return for his beloved Valentine.  They are survived by their loving children: Bob III (Lynda), Rick (Judy), Lynda (Phil), Randy “Boofo” (Tanya), and Cindy “Nini” (Wade); their adoring grandchildren: Rick, Jr., Joey, Gina, Dawn, Michelle, PJ, Kevin, Patrick, Bob IV, Randy, Jr., Ashely, Jessica, Jarrod; 15 great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces. The family would like to especially thank Dr. Aye, Dr. Rudnick, Dr. Delorefice, the staff at Memorial Hospital and Petaluma Post-Acute. Friends and family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass, Friday, February 26, 2016 at 11:00 am at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 35 Liberty St., Petaluma.  A Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2016 from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm with a Vigil Service at 7:00 pm at the PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or your favorite charity.  Private Entombment: Cypress Hill Memorial Park, Petaluma.
