Robert Theodore Mastrup

Robert Theodore Mastrup - Passed away peacefully in his home in the redwoods of Guerneville on March 11, 2009, after a battle with cancer. He was born on March 24, 1934 to Pete and Mercy Mastrup of Petaluma, CA. Dearly beloved father of the late Shannon Marie Mastrup. Loving brother of Sally Petaluna, Gracie Johnson, Harold Allen Jr., Fred Allen and the late Duayne Mastrup. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Robert graduated from Petaluma High School, served in the U.S. Army and later worked in San Francisco in the upholstery business. Robert was a child prodigy in art, starting at the age of six and continuing throughout his life. He received awards from Roseland Russell. Robert enjoyed many salmon fishing trips at Bodega Bay with his dear friend, Juan Bentley. Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral service, Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, Magnolia Ave. and Keokuk St., Petaluma. Interment will follow at 1:00 P.M. at Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 15, 2009 from Noon to 5:00 P.M. at the mortuary. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
