Roger Nagy

Loving and devoted father and husband, ROGER NAGY, passed away January 31, 2015. Born Sept 23, 1939 in Cleveland OH to parents Coletta Basch and Robert Holtz, Roger was later adopted by Charles Nagy. He attended St. Edwards High School and graduated from Ohio University in 1963. Roger married his true love, Charleen Feltes, and they had 54 wonderful years together. While living in Ohio they were blessed with 5 wonderful children, Christine, Robert, Carolyn, Ronald and Randal. In 1980 he ventured west to Petaluma CA. He owned 2 successful businesses, built a lovely home for his family, and watched his children grow into people he was proud of. He was blessed again with 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren who filled his life with love and joy. He is also survived by his loving sisters Anne Nagy, Diane Gaveglia and Carol Matej. His favorite things were his family, his classic cars, collecting western memorabilia, and woodcarving. In retirement he and Charleen love to travel the U.S., spending winters in the desert. Roger was kind, generous and hard working. Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Friday, February 6, 2015 at 9:00 A.M. at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 35 Liberty St., Petaluma, CA. A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2015 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma, CA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Wounded Warriors.
