Romona Jane Larsen - Romona Larsen passed away peacefully in Petaluma at the age of 52 surrounded
by her loving family on May 28, 2011. Romona was a devoted wife who loved
her family and friends and was an inspiration to all who knew her. She graduated
Petaluma High School in 1977 and first worked in San Francisco for Del Monte
Corp. for 14 years. Romona worked two years in police records at the Petaluma
Police Dept. For the past 17 years she welcomed patients with a beautiful smile as
office manager of Larsen Chiropractic Office, with her husband Jim A. Larsen, D.C.
Romona was born into a pioneer Petaluma family, the second child of six of Tobias
and Joan Lujan. She is survived by her husband of 29 years Dr. Jim Larsen, sister
Monica (Geoff) Chatfield, brother Toby Lujan Jr., sister Lisa (Stanley) Pronzini, brother Andrew Lujan, and sister Roberta (John) Thomas. She is also survived by her Grandmother Jane Spolini (belated husband Art Spolini) and numerous aunts and uncles, nieces, and nephews. Romonaâ??s Petaluma family roots date back to covered wagons in 1852.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 4th, 2011 at the United Church

Romona loved to travel, hike, dance, golf, paint, and beat everybody playing cards. She especially loved walking the headland trails of the Sonoma Coastline or just sitting watching and listening to ocean waves. Romona was an active member of the Petaluma Community Guild, Danish Sisterhood and Brotherhood Lodges, and a former member of the Petaluma Golf and Country Club, and Petaluma Womanâ??s Club. She was also well known for baking desserts for other clubs and organizations, including her church family at United Church of Christ, and the Petaluma Host Lions Club.
