Ronald Murphy Lyons

October 31, 1932 — August 22, 2017

RONALD M. LYONS passed away peacefully at the age of 84, surrounded by his family. Ron is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Minnie, and his children, Heather (David) and Kelly (Kevin); grandchildren, Mark, Kyle and Danielle Dolcini; Meagan, Colleen and Mitchell Cline. Ron was born and raised in Co. Antrim, No. Ireland, where he met and married his wife, Minnie. Together, they emigrated to the USA in 1958, where they both proudly became US Citizens. He worked as a service technician for 40 years. He was a life-long member of the Loyal Orange Lodge, where he served as a California State Grand Master. Ron was an avid San Francisco 49ers and San Francisco Giants fan. He enjoyed maintaining and spending time in his back garden. He loved traveling and RV’ing with his wife, family and friends. Ron’s greatest joy in life was his family, and his love of music. He played several instruments, predominantly the guitar, and was known for entertaining his friends and family at many gatherings. Ron was “the life of the party." Friends and family are invited to attend the Visitation on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 from 9:00 am until the Funeral Service at 11:00 am at the PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Private Inurnment.
