Ronald G. Van Bebber

Ronald G. Van Bebber passed away on March 15, 2021 in Petaluma at the age of 81 years.  Devoted husband of the late Carolyn Van Bebber.  Cherished father of Kathleen Mughannam (Ramy) and Christopher Van Bebber (Stephanie).  Adored grandfather of Sarah Mughannam, Caroline Mughannam and Walter Van Bebber.  Loving brother of Carol Chastain.  Dear uncle of Nicole Chastain, Jason Chastain and Luke Chastain.

Born on January 27, 1940 to Norman & Gertrude Van Bebber, Ron enjoyed a lively childhood in Petaluma.  He was a proud third generation Petaluman and was well loved by his friends and family.  Ron graduated from Petaluma High School in 1958 and had a rewarding career as a pneumatic controls man for over forty years.  His attention to detail as a craftsman was second to none. Through his sister, he met and married the love of his life, Carolyn, and together they enjoyed 52 years of marriage.  Ron and Carolyn lived in Bennett Valley for 41 years until the Nuns Fire took their home in 2017, and they moved back to his native Petaluma.  Ron loved the outdoors and had a lifelong interest and dedication to the Boy Scouts.  He was happiest being amongst his trees or in a forest.  He will be remembered for his positive attitude and can-do approach to life.  We will miss his twinkly blue eyes.

Friends and family are invited to attend the Funeral Liturgy on Friday, March 26, 2021 at 12:30pm at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Petaluma. Private Entombment: Cypress Hill Memorial Park, Petaluma.
