Rose Marie Poncia

Rose Marie Poncia - Died peacefully in her sleep January 25, 2008 in Sebastopol. Born January 15, 1917 in Santa Rosa, Rose recently passed her 91st birthday. She was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Poncia and her brother John Lisignoli. She is survived by her children, Richard Poncia (Linda), Nancy Stedman (Steve), and William Poncia (Virginia); seven grandchildren; three great-granddaughters; her sister Lena Becchetti; sisters-in-law Connie Poncia, Madeline Poncia, and Amy Ransom; numerous nieces and nephews and their children and grandchildren. Roseâ??s family would like to thank Mrs. Ethel Pruitt and her compassionate crew at Live Oak Rest Home in Sebastopol for their kind care of Rose over these last five years. Thanks also to Memorial Hospice for easing Roseâ??s last few days. A Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 27 from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm with a Vigil Service at 7:00 pm at PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY-SEBASTOPOL, 829-5433. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, January 28, 2008 at 11:00 am at St. Sebastianâ??s Catholic Church in Sebastopol.
