She was born on April 4, 1911 in El Salvador, the eldest of four siblings. She was a teacher before coming to San Francisco, CA in 1942. She met and married her husband, Gerald Patterson, in 1945. After his death in 1947, she lived and worked in San Francisco until retirement and moved to Petaluma in 2002 to live with her daughter and son-in-law.
Her interests included family, sewing, baking and reading. Her faith was also an integral part of her life. She had statues of the Divine Savior and the Immaculate Heart of Mary in her room. She was always praying the rosary. Her life was an example of goodness to others and she deeply touched the hearts of many who loved her. Friends and family are invited to attend the Memorial Liturgy, Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma.
