Rosemary Elizabeth Collins, 79, of Petaluma, CA passed away peacefully after fiercely battling Glioblastoma at her home in Petaluma on Monday, January 1, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Rose was born March 22, 1944, in San Francisco, CA and was the daughter of Lloyd and Clarice Wayne. She was a Graduate of Presentation High School in San Francisco, CA.

Rose married her adoring husband, Terry on August 22,1991 on a beautiful day in Tahoe, California joining two beautiful families. While Terry and Rose settled together in Petaluma, they continued their adventure in buying a second home in Bighorn, Palm Desert where they created a wonderful community of friends.

Rose and Terry became the proud founders of Papa Murphy’s Pizza. While Terry was the businessman of the duo, Rose took charge as the social butterfly and coordinated endless business events, conventions and memorable company parties.

After they retired from Papa Murphy's, Rose and Terry enjoyed spending time traveling to beautiful locations with friends and family. She also enjoyed playing golf with her friends at Bighorn and the Petaluma Golf and Country Club where she won numerous tournaments and club events.

Over the years, Rose supported many charities with fundraising, golf tournaments and donating her own time to Hospice of Petaluma where she received an award from Congressman Jered Huffman, Petaluma C.O.T.S. and many other organizations.

Rose was the life of the party and the dancing queen at every gathering. While Rose led an extraordinary life, her most prized possession was her family and was honored to gain the title of grandmother and great grandmother (Gigi). With her infectious smile and her endless love, she turned all family experiences into extraordinary memories.

Rose is survived by her loving children, Terry Kodweis (Bill) and Tim Sweeney (Maryann); grandchildren, Michelle Rodd (Christopher), Stephanie Kodweis-Simmons (Joseph) and Matthew Kodweis; great grandchildren, Rylee, Taylor and Charlie Rodd; Terry’s children, Doug Collins (Lynda) and Eric Collins; grandchildren, Mickey, Conner, Kyleigh, Hunter, Laysha, Jessica, Emmah; great grandchildren, Hunter, Xaiden, Tristan, Trace and Beau; sisters, Joan Jimenez, Marie Eshleman (Ted), Kay Patterson (Vince), Margie Bondardi, Claire Gibson, Marian Rassmussen; brothers, Ed Wayne as well as many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Terry Collins; brothers, Joseph Wayne, Richard Wayne; and parents, Lloyd and Clarice Wayne.

She was well known for her generosity, big heart and willingness to always help others. Rose will be greatly missed.

A rosary will be held at 6:00pm Wednesday, January 10,2024 at Parent-Sorensen Mortuary & Crematory, 850 Keokuk Street, Petaluma, CA.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, January 11,2024 at St. Vincent De Paul Church, 35 Liberty Street, Petaluma, CA. Reception to follow at Hotel Petaluma, 205 Kentucky Street, Petaluma, CA.

A private Interment for family will be held Friday, January 12, 2024
