Roy Lee Davis - Died peacefully in Santa Rosa on July 16, 2008 surrounded by loved ones. He was born to Andrew and Mandy Davis on June 24, 1932 in Qulin, MO. He was a Veteran of the Korean War, serving as a Sergeant in the 6th Infantry Division. He was an avid bluegrass fan (and could also play a good tune himself). He worked as a roofer for over 33 years. He was the greatest father in the world. He leaves behind his son Billy L. Davis, his daughter (Sis) Lora L. Hruby (Bob), 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren (1 of whom preceded him in death), and many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by 5 brothers and 1 sister. He also leaves his long-time companion, Lily Puterbaugh, as well as his brother and friend, Carl Davis. Funeral Services will be held on July 19, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY-Sebastopol, 829-5433. A graveside Service will follow. Donations in his memory can be made to the American Cancer Society, 1451 Guerneville Road, Suite 220, Santa Rosa, CA 95403.
