Russell Lee Stedman

Russell Lee Stedman passed away on September 10, 2021, in Petaluma, California.  He was known for his gentle kindness, giving soul, and spirited heart.  He was loved by all who knew him.

Russell was born in Venice, California to Homer and Zoe.  After meeting Marilyn 65 years ago, they married after six weeks.

He served his country in the Navy and was a friend of Bill W. for 45 years.

He was a heating and air conditioning contractor in Simi Valley before relocating to the Bay Area.  When he retired, he and his wife spent many years in their 5th wheel seeing the country.

He leaves behind two sisters, Norma Lightle and Sandy Steiner.  He was a loving father to Karen, Paula, and Diane; a grandfather to Brian, Jr., Laura Rose, and A.J.; and a great-grandfather to Lucas, Kaylyn, Camille and Vincent.

He will be missed and remembered by those who had the good fortune to know him.

The family would like to thank Dr. Aye and Hospice of Petaluma.

At the family's request, no services will be held.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Petaluma.
