Ruth Marion Andersen

Petaluma native, Ruth M. Andersen passed away August 18, 2016 at her home at the age of 92. The lifelong resident is remembered for her love of gardening, artistic talent, quilting, many acts of volunteer work, especially at the Saks Thrift Store for 25 years and at the Petaluma Museum. Her family treasured her as a wonderful Mother and Grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Andrew Martin Andersen. Ruth is the loving mother of Judy E. Byorum of Sebastopol, Sally L. Shackel of Grass Valley, Andy L. Andersen and Maren L. Baxman both of Auburn. Grandmother of six and great grandmother of four. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Esther Tillman and Herb McLean. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
