Sally Adams Mej

SALLY ADAMS MEJÍA passed away on May 12, 2021 in Rohnert Park at the age of 91 years. Sally, our mother, was born in Norwalk, Ohio and reared and educated throughout the Midwest and the East Coast.

She married our father Hernando Mejía, a Colombian Civil Engineer and they moved to live in Colombia, a country that she absolutely loved and where she spent over 60 years of her life.

She had very dear friends such as Mary Mogollón, Gladys de Danies, Carlota de Romero, Nita de Gamboa, Olga de Arreaza, Elisa Jaramillo, Lucía de Albán, Berta de Abello, Teresa de Sáenz and Leonor Mejía de Forero (sisters in law), Alegría Romero de Ortíz, Yolanda de Llorente and Inés Liévano de Mantilla, among many others with whom she shared many beautiful and wonderful moments.

Some of her passions were listening to Classical music, playing the piano, watching golf- specially if Phil Mickelson was playing. Also, reading and keeping up to date with domestic and worldwide news and foreign affairs.She was a beautiful, kind, elegant, graceful, fun, loving and a very independent strong and smart woman who will be greatly missed by her six children Luis, Paul, Kathy, Dianne, Marianne and the late David Mejía Adams; her daughter in law Monica Cuellar Mejía, son in law José Vélez, and by her eight grandchildren Juliana, David, Andrés, Laura, Sebastian, Paula, Felipe and Ana and her twin sister Marilyn Cameron and her three daughters.

Friends and family are invited to attend the Memorial Liturgy, Saturday May 29, 2021 at 10:00 a.m PST at the PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY AND CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St. Petaluma. Private Inurnment
