Shirley A. Silva

Shirley A. Silva passed away peacefully in Petaluma, CA on December 11, 2020 at the age of 91. Survived by her daughter, Margaret Shepherd, son-in-law Mike, grandchildren Carly, Andy and Brandon, all of Petaluma. Wife of the late Vincent Silva. She was the daughter of William and Stella McDonald. She is also survived by brother Mervin McDonald and sisters-in-law Evelyn McDonald and Joan Silva. Pre-deceased by brothers Stanley McDonald, Leroy McDonald, sister-in-law Dorothy McDonald, and brothers-in-law Frank Silva and Ed Silva.

Shirley lived her entire life in Petaluma and Tomales. Always a farm girl, she loved all animals especially dogs and horses. She welcomed everyone into her home with a smile and her good-natured wit. Everyone enjoyed her company; she was the keeper of family history. She enjoyed Sunday afternoon drives along Tomales Bay where she could reminisce about childhood adventures. An avid baker, there was always a warm sweet treat offered at her kitchen table.

The family would like to thank Brenda Ramos for her excellent care these past few months and to the team at Hospice of Petaluma.

Private family services have been held.
