Sophie Leahy - Passed somewhat suddenly but peacefully on the evening of Tuesday, September 21, 2010 comforted by her loving and adoring husband Charles Leahy. Sophie, a native, born and raised in the mission district of San Francisco as well known as a poignant, optimistic, happy-go lucky beautiful woman with a heart of gold, God loving with an unselfish attitude towards her family and many friends. In her early years, Sophie diligently worked for a family owned business; The St. Francis Creamery and later owned and operated Doc"s Clock Tavern, both located in the San Francisco Mission District. She is survived by her dedicated and loving husband for forty years, Charles Leahy, her sister and very best friend, Virginia Fassler, her loving brother Chris Christakes, step-children, Kathi Rued, Richard (Mary) Slavin, step-granddaughter, Emily Rued, sister-in-laws Delores Bork and Camille Zents, nephews, James (Diane) Fassler, Peter (Barbara) Christakes and nieces, Cathy (Jack) Clifford, Tanya (Bill) Bingham, Mari (Gary) Pease and numerous other nieces and nephews.
