Sophie H. Nommsen - Passed away in Petaluma, CA., November 7, 2007, beloved wife of the late Nick A. Nommsen. Loving mother of Carl (Cathy) Nommsen of Santa Rosa, Carin (Bill) Scarpete of Cotati, Margaret (Gene) Walker , Steven (Debbie) Nommsen, Marilyn (Ervin) Elbeck all of Petaluma, Helene (Les) Jacobsen of Rohnert Park and the late Fred (Terry) Nommsen. Cherished grandmother of Christine Woodbury, Curt Nommsen, Dennis Scarpete, Kevin Scarpete, Cheryl Mohrman, Mike Nommsen, Cheyenne Walker, Diana Vaughn, Becky Nommsen, Jamie Morris, Stephanie Elbeck, Michelle McGrath, Timothy Jacobsen, Katie Cerini and the late Carl John Nommsen. Adored great grandmother of 14. Loving sister of Margarethe and Anna of the Isle of Fohr and was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 3 brothers. Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service, Monday, November 12, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. at the PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, Magnolia Ave. and Keokuk St., Petaluma. Interment will follow at Liberty Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday at the mortuary from 11:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. The family prefers that memorials be made to your favorite charity. A native of the Isle of Fohr, Germany. Age 93 years.
