Stanley Lee Ramondo March 24, 1940 - April 24, 2025 Stanley Lee Ramondo passed away on April 24th surrounded by loved ones. Stan is survived by his children Kathrine Riddle, Paula Ramondo, Teresa Sala, Brenda Keogh, and Ernest Hyatt; ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; brother Richard Ramondo (Manuela), sister Pauline Pellini, sister-in-law Teresa Ramondo; and dear friend Kathleen Jones. He was predeceased in life by his parents Lee and Adelle (Piezzi) Ramondo, wife Sue Ramondo, brother Darrell Ramondo, and brother-in-law Pete Pellini. Stan was a proud fifth-generation Sonoma County native. He was born at Santa Rosa General Hospital and grew up on family ranches in Sebastopol and Santa Rosa. He was a lifelong resident of Sonoma County. Stan graduated from Analy High School in 1958, where he played football and was active in FFA. He went on to serve in the U.S. Marine Corps and studied architecture in San Francisco. Stan married Virginia Whitley in 1960 and had three daughters. In 1971, he married Carolyn Sue Jones and became a loving stepfather to her two children. A licensed contractor and skilled woodworker, he built and remodeled many homes across Sonoma County. Stan also had a passion for antique cars and was active in the Horseless Carriage Club of America and the Antique Automobile Club of America. A devoted community member, Stan was a charter member of the Gravenstein Lions Club, serving for over 50 years, including ten terms as president as well as holding district offices. He contributed to many local events, including the Apple Blossom Festival and Analy football games, where he worked the chains for over 25 years. In 2024, he was honored as Sebastopol's Citizen of the Year. A memorial service will be held at Hessel Church in Sebastopol on Saturday, May 10, at 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations can be made to the Sebastopol Gravenstein Lions Club in Stan's honor.
