Stephen Wayne "Steve" Govan

Passed away suddenly, July 12, 2016 in Elk Grove, CA at the age of 70. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Ann Govan in 2013. He was the son of the late Edwin and Frances Govan. Survived by his brother, Randy Govan and his cousins, Sondra Brown, Bill Govan, Dennis Govan, Adam Brown and Amber Mullinax and his nephews Bruce and Stephen Levitt. Brother-in-law of Florence Levitt. Godfather of Joseph Tantarelli. A native of Petaluma, CA, Steve was a well known clerk for Fircrest and Hagstrom's Grocery Stores for many years. He was also a proud veteran of the U.S. Army during Viet Nam and an avid Giants and 49'er fan Family and friends are invited to the Graveside Service at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Rd., Dixon, CA on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at 2:30 pm.. Family and friends are also invited to the Memorial Service, Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Presbyterian Church of Petaluma, 939 B St., Petaluma Graveside Service
