Steven Louis Lakatos

Steve Lakatos was a kind, generous, stubborn and loyal husband, father, grandfather, and friend who passed away on December 22, 2015 with his wife and children by his side. He was born in Petaluma on November 9, 1952. He attended school in Petaluma and graduated from Petaluma High. He attended SRJC until he decided to make his job at Safeway his career. He worked for Safeway in Santa Rosa, Windsor, Napa and Healdsburg where he made many friends. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Vickie, his daughter, Beth Chrum (Bob), his son, Eric Nash (Jessica), his grandchildren, Alyssa Nash, Dylan Chrum, Kayla Chrum and his brother, David Lakatos (Kathy). He was a member of Penngrove Social Fireman, Native Sons of the Golden West, Druids, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Healdsburg. He loved attending the monthly dinners and seeing old friends. At Steve's request, there will be no services but a celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Steve always loved a good party. If desired, donations in his memory may be made to your favorite charity.
