Sue (Groff) Volker

Sue Volker received her wings on June 13, 2020. Sue was born in McCune Kansas, on August 4th 1935 to Alice and Bert Groff. Her family moved out west during her adolescences years and settled in Novato. Sue married her life partner, Leonard Volker, in 1955 and had two kids Eldean and Stuart Volker. After raising her children, she went back to work as a Secretary/Office Manager of the AAA branch in Petaluma for 33yrs before retiring. In her spare time Sue enjoyed crafting, spending quality time with her beloved family and attending social functions including – Bunko, Hessel Church and The Petaluma Womens Club meetings. She also enjoyed watching Jeopardy, San Francisco Giants baseball and Warriors basketball in the evenings.

Sue is survived by her husband Leonard Volker, her brother John (Sandy) Groff, her children Stuart and Eldean (Dave), her grandchildren Amber and Adam (Sophia) Baggenstos, Joshua, Avery, and Emily Volker and her great-grandchild Naomi Baggenstos. Her passing is proceeded by her mother, father and her brother Ed (Sandy). Her bright smile, spunky attitude and caring heart will be sorely missed by all. The family has opted to forgo any services. We thank all of our close family and friends for the well wishes and support during this time.
