Susan Etsuko Uyeda

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our sister Susan Uyeda on December 17, 2025, due to various health matters and after a short battle with dementia.

Susan was born in Sebastopol, CA in 1949 and graduated from Petaluma Senior High School. She worked at several jobs, most notably at Russ Berrie & Co for 23 years until their closure. She had fond memories of her work there.

Susan was preceded in death by parents Toshito & Yasuko Uyeda and sister Carole Hatano. She is survived by sisters Jean Uyeda, Joyce (Bill) DiBartolo, and brother Michael Uyeda.

We would like to thank Shawna Beutter of Fox & Associates Home Health for her assistance, care and empathy for Sue over the past few months. We would also like to thank By the Bay Health Hospice for their care and assistance during Susan's final days.

A private family service will be held in January.
