Teresa Jean Welter (Pinckney)

Teresa Jean Welter (Pinckney) passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026, following a courageous fight against cancer.

She was born on September 3, 1971, in Novato, California. Teresa attended Cinnabar Elementary and graduated from Petaluma High School with the Class of 1989. She married her high school sweetheart, Richard, and together they raised three amazing boys: Allen (Maddie), Andrew (Mikala), and Anthony. Teresa was also blessed with three precious grandchildren—Caelan, Benjamin, and Charlotte—who were the light of her life.

Teresa often said her greatest accomplishment was raising her three sons. She considered them her life’s masterpiece, a work that only grew more beautiful as they started their own families and blessed her with grandchildren.

She is survived by her father, Gordon Pinckney; her sisters, Binky (Barry) Thorson, Viola (Robert) Browder, and Betty (Mark) Ashton; her brothers, John (Michelle) Lowery and Bill (Elena) Lowery; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Gale Overstreet; Jane Pinckney; and her brothers, Michael Pinckney and Sonny “Spike” West.

Teresa will be remembered as the person everyone could count on. Whether as a wife, mother, daughter, sister, auntie, or friend, she was the rock of her family. She was deeply loved and will be missed beyond measure.
