Terry Austin Marino

December 6, 1942 — July 8, 2021

It is with great sadness, the family of Terry Marino, announce his passing. Terry Austin Marino passed away peacefully at his home in Fallon, California, Thursday, July 8, 2021 at the age of 78. Terry was born in Sebastopol, December 6, 1942, to Leo Marino and Grace Carmody Mantua. He attended Potter School in Bodega and then graduated from Tomales High School in 1960. Shortly after graduating, he met his beloved wife Georgia. They raised their children and made their life in the Fallon area. They were married for 57 years.

Terry worked for PG&E retiring after 35 years as well as raising beef cattle alongside his wife/family for 25 years. He had a lifelong love of fast pitch softball, and in his younger years, Terry was a well-known player for the Bodega Merchants and Grayview Farms softball teams.  Later he spent many years coaching girls’ softball, particularly his granddaughter’s Steele Breeze team, alongside his son Jim. Eagerly passing on his wealth of knowledge and passion for the game.

He loved spending his time fishing and hunting where he always left his mark.  He thoroughly enjoyed the many friends he gained through both. He was also a fierce card player that was quick to point out to his opponent if they did not rise to his standards. He was involved in many community organizations over the years, and was respected for his service.  Above all, he loved his role as Nonno to his grandchildren. He was an honest and straight forward man who was adored by many.  All who knew him will cherish the many fond memories of his unique, unselfish and generous spirit.

In addition to his wife Georgia, Terry is survived by his son Jim (Gina) Marino, daughter Lisa (Terry) Willardson, granddaughters, Jamie (Lucas) Charles, Jenna Marino, Taylor Willardson, great granddaughter Annie Charles, sisters Jonelle Karcher, Leona Marino, Janie Marino, Joanne Delmas, brother Randy Mantua, sister in laws Nancy (Darrel) Freitas, Annette Burbank, Eileen (Dave) Graybeal, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grace Mantua and Leo (Catherine) Marino sisters Cathy Marino, Nadine Marino and brother Charlie Marino, brother in law Robert Burbank, as well as in laws Walt and Annie Burbank.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 13th, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday July 14, 2021 at 11:00 am at Parent-Sorensen Mortuary.  Private interment will occur at a later date.  Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life following the funeral service at McNear Park, G Street, Petaluma.
