Terry Lynn Stoy

Terry Lynn Stoy peacefully went to heaven on June 17, 2016. Terry was born on November 25, 1950, in Auburn, Indiana to Herbert and Dawn Stoy. After serving in the Navy during the Vietnam War, Terry fell in love with California and moved west to start his family and career. At a young age, Terry developed a passion for food. This sparked a lifetime career in food services, beginning in high school working in his uncle's restaurant, and culminating with his retirement from Summit Medical Center in Oakland in 2011. His favorite things in life were his children, family, friends, and golf. He expressed his love through cooking, and generously shared his culinary gift with others. Terry is preceded in death by his loving wife, Kay Stoy, and is survived by his daughters, Lisa and Jamie, his son, Ryan, daughter-in-law Ashley, son- in- law Alex, and grandsons, Deegan and Landry. He is also survived by his sisters Kay and Vickie and brother Denny. Friends and family are invited to a Memorial Service on Saturday, July 2, at 11:00 a.m. at Parent Sorensen Mortuary & Crematory, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma, CA.
